I'm here scurrying around getting ready for two big meetings today when I came upon the following quote. It was a moment to pause and feel blessed.
Most of us have been given many more blessings than we have received. We do not take time to be blessed or make the space for it. We may have filled our lives so full of other things that we have no room to receive our blessings. One of my patients told me that she has an image of us all being circled by our blessings, sometimes for years, like airplanes in a holding pattern at an airport, stacked up with no place to land. Waiting for a moment of our time, our attention.
First of all, moment to pause and think of my dad -- he recommended this book this quote came from ... what is the title again, dad - excellent book!
I am blessed. Life is good. Many, many beautiful blessings. One thing that is keeping me grounded in this busy day is thinking of an evening bike ride, if there is time, a walk if less time with Steve. We celebrate our anniversary tomorrow ... 29 years!! Indeed a beautiful blessing!
