Celebrating Natalie

Dear Natalie,

For 28 years now the 4th of July has had extra special meaning! It was the day you were born!  The night of the 3rd instead of going to the fireworks as planned, we drove to the hospital and were thrilled you were born early on the 4th! All the celebration of the day is fitting for the joy we felt on that day and since as your parents!   

I reflect back on this picture. The photographer was aware that I was losing my eyesight and wanted to get one of me looking at you. I remember looking into your eyes wondering how long I would be able to see at least part of those beautiful eyes and your smile. You let me know it was going to be just fine :).  We were connected through our hearts.   What a joy to be your mother.

Natalie, you are now an amazing woman and one of my dearest friends.  You are also an amazing sport to run the Centerville 5K with your mom early on your birthday!

PS.  We absolutely love when we get to come help with one of your amazing home projects.  I should rephrase that ... dad helps with the project and I cheer you all on!  

The table is set for brunch in 4th of July/birthday decor!   I think this may be the first year we haven't bought Natalie a red/white/blue outfit :). I hope you love the other gifts, Natalie so many things make me smile and think of you!
