Important Things to Remember

Tonight we were off on a bike ride this evening ... in our new jerzees for the MS150 ride on Saturday.  Planned to do our 25-mile ride when 5 1/2 miles in our ride heard a loud pop & had a flat tire.  Adam, our son-in-law, picked us up.  Thank you!  We were talking about how disappointed we were in not getting to go on our ride!  Then, we reflected on the people we were able to interact with as we waited for him to pick us up.  Someone we had rode a 200 mile ride with a few years ago!  It was cool to see him again and a nice positive of the bike breaking down.  Steve was able to give another group a little help with a bike.  I was reflecting on the word disappointed.  I  came upon this quote by Mr. Rogers.  Now I was a Mr. Rogers fan early on.  I remember watching him as a little girl and then later with kids when I was babysitting.  I liked how he sat down and talked about feelings and important things to think about - tonight was no exception :).

A little bit of disappointment for a ride not finished ... a lot of gratitude for all the LOVE and JOY in my life.
