As my friend says - It's all good :)

Thank you for your sweet emails and comments :). Yes, Steve is keeping a distance because he has strept... miserble but he's on the mend.  I called to let him know I was finished at work  to come pick me up and he had no voice.  Thank heavens for texting, right :).   Yes I had to throw out the training for our next marathon ... but there will be another one. I'm convinced of that. And you know what, I will appreciate that next run even more! Yesterday, I received an email that I can transfer my registration to someone else.  If you know of someone that wants to run the Ogden Marathon but didn't get in, let me know! I would love to be able to let them have my spot. I am told it is a beautiful marathon. We will be there cheering on my friends.
An earlier - prefoot brace - picture with my sweet buddy Cricket
Last week Cricket and I had the opportunity to visit a cub scout pack meeting - yes in our boot, and share.  We set up an obstacle course and Cricket was awesome.  First we walked through straight and then I invited the kids to move a couple chairs into our straight walk way.  They put one that she had to walk around and then positioned another one that was a great visual on explaining how Cricket not only needs to make sure there is space for her to get through an area but she needs to make sure there is space for both of us!  It was a fun evening and they asked a lot of great questions.  We laughed as this question came up a couple times to ME -- how old are you?   what is your favorite food? :).

An injured foot has given us the gift of some time.  Training for a marathon takes a lot of time.  This time is now being used to work on some projects I am so excited about.  This is good - really good!

I am still holding out hope that Steve and I can hop on the bike in the future even if he may have to do most of the pedaling :).  We are registered for a long bike ride that Steve said - maybe we better cancel.  I said no  not yet!  I'm hoping ...

It is raining outside.  You know the saying ... Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass ... It's about learning to dance in the rain.   My parents are coming down for a visit and we are going to have lunch with Natalie and then see Kendall.  That sounds like an awesome dance in the rain!  It's all good.

And another favorite message from Susan Spencer-Wendel: Until I Say Good-Bye is the fulfillment of her final wish: “To make people laugh and cry and hug their children and joke with their friends and dwell in how wonderful it is to be alive.”

I know you'll never stop dancing in the rain. Even though I'm in Oregon, I'll be dancing with you.
