Shopping Girls

Cricket has become a good shopper over the years. Steve dropped us off at City Creek to meet a friend for lunch. (This is only our fourth time shopping here and I was pleased how well we did.) He had a meeting to get to so we were early. This gave us enough time to venture to Nordstrom and find some Tom's. I have been hearing from my daughter and coworkers and friends that I will love a pair of these shoes! Well, I am already thinking of what I can wear with these fun shoes. Plus, they run big so I wore a size smaller which is fun :)! I am sometimes asked how do I shop alone? I need to know where I am going. In this situation, I knew that I needed to walk straight and the first right turn would be Nordstroms. Right inside Nordstroms to the left is the shoe section. I asked Cricket to find a chair - which she did and then a sales associate came over and asked me how she could help. Done. Cricket rested her head on the boxes of shoes which brought some other shoppers over to discuss the cuteness of Cricket :). I tried to throw in some of her talents as a guide so they weren't just thinking she was cute on her appearance! We left the store and went back to the meeting point to find our friend and had a great lunch at Blue Lemon. Afterwards, we enjoyed walking around a bit and found myself getting even more oriented with this beautiful City Center. I love Fall and pulling out the layers.

Funny side note - my friend and I were standing at the elevator waiting. It seemed to be taking a long time. Finally Cricket pushed at me and we realized that across on the other side there was an elevator that was open that she was trying to get us to go to. We did. Very impressive, Cricket.

I LOVED City Creek when I got to see it for the first time in June. AND...we also ate at the Blue Lemon.

never heard of that shoe brand TOMS
I'll have to check them out.
I'm glad you had such a lovely day

Wendy - well maybe we will just have to meet there next time you come into town!
Debi - oh so true!

Can you imagine Cricket's thought processes - "Why are they standing here in front of a closed elevator door when right over there is one that's open?" :)
