Gold Medal Day

Love that the radio is wishing us a Gold Medal Day! Hope it is that for you. My colleague and I get to go to a conference today on Ethics. I think Cricket will sleep through it. I just cried watching the Fab Five win Gold in gymnastics. (Personally, knowing they had won gold took the stress out of watching it.:) We love going for walks on warm summer nights. I love when Cricket smiles.
Cute story (atleast I think :). We were at Smith's ... one of those places Steve loves and I sometimes feel overwhelmed - I think they move things from week to week. We were in search of some new running tops (found a bright yellow and purple one.) While Steve was looking through the racks for my size, this mom and her little boy were behind us and he was asking - mom why is there a dog in the store? The mom was explaining and doing a great job of educating him that I must be blind, on Cricket's role as a guide dog, not to pet her while she was working, etc. Then, before we could turn around and thank her the little boy said - well, the boy (meaning Steve) can see :). So cute.

Great story. Kids are awesome. Little boys ask me if I can go fast in my wheelchair. Little girls ask if they can get a wheelchair in any color they like.
