Running. Retinitis Pigmentosa

We just came back from our 9 mile run in preparation for our next 1/2 marathon here .
I find running invigorating. I find running a reminder of: we can do hard things. I find running a reminder of the kindness of others as friends knock on my door to run. I find running a time I feel grateful for a healthy body. I find running a reminder that with a tether and some verbal cues from a friend, I can be blind and run! I am loving my short hair in running as I can get ready for work after a run in even less time!

We went to the musical Zorro last night. Fun. Steve is a great describer and a fun date :).

Happy Tuesday. Supposed to be sunny and warm here. Next iphone lesson during the lunch hour.

I love how you enjoy your running. I don't run, but I walk briskly every day.

Have a great Tuesday.

People willing to run with you is definitely a very special thing. After months and months of trying to find guide runners, I may have found a few. Thanks for these posts as they keep me motivated. :)

Becky, I'm so happy to have stumbled across your amazingly inspiring blog. My mother, uncle, aunt and various extended family members are affected by RP and until recently I've felt so overwhelmingly powerless to do anything. That changed when I started an awareness and fundraising project coupled with running which I've dubbed Project Connie: Marathons for Mom (http://www.facebook.com/projectconnie). I can't help but think there's some way that we could combine running and the blogging platform to spread awareness and beat the funding drum for advanced research into eye disease. Anyway, I'm going on here, but I'd love to speak more with you as your time allows for. You can reach me via email at project.connie@gmail.com.

Look forward to talking with you and reading more of your blog.

My very best,

-Chris
