Energized

Sunshine and relaxing were on schedule for the weekend as we set off for one of our favorite getaways - beautiful St. George.
We laughed, biked, ran and laughed some more.  We found two new eating places we loved including Camille's.   When they had Josh Groban music playing on the patio ... I knew the food would be fabulous :). We covered 50 miles on our tandem bike. It is such a fun way to explore.

A few comments that made me smile - A lady to her child: Don't talk to that blind lady and her dog. I smiled and said hi as I felt like what she really meant was to encourage her child not to pet my working dog. Thank you.

A lady asked me if I was training my dog. I 'looked at her', smiled and said - She is my guide dog and she said - Oh yeah, I can totally tell you are blind now :).  I smiled feeling grateful that I was comfortable with who I am (well most of the time, right :)

What a special treat to come home to a dinner invitation with Natalie and Adam . I have to remind myself its not just a great dream that they are now living so close.

Beautiful morning.  We just ran 4 miles - winding down the training for the 1/2 marathon  on Saturday.  Have a great Monday!

I imagine some of the things people say to you, can be quite silly or entertaining.
"don't talk to the blind lady"...that seems weird to me.
You are an inpiration and how cool that your hubby does all these things with you.

I know people mean well, but I am often surprised by careless remarks. Seriously, it takes (what) maybe 3 whole seconds to consider the words we use?? Yep, "careless" sums it up here. I agree with Wendy, you are an inspiration and I think you rock!!
