It's all good

One of my friends and colleagues has the saying - Its all good. I love working with her and also enjoy being around her warmth, positivity, and sense of humor.   She was there for me this week, and I really appreciated it.  I hope I can be there for her. 

Its not been easy with Cricket's recovery, but I find myself thinking - it's all good.  She is recovering and going to be just fine.   Its hard seeing her sad about not working - she loves to be a guide dog.  Its hard not having her work - I love to have her be my guide dog! 

Steve and I slipped away to St. George after work on Thursday.   We love the time together.  We love to enjoy the outdoor beauty -- often running or cycling.  This trip was a little different.  Cricket was on pet status and needed tlc all the time so no running or biking.  We walked along the trails with Steve as my guide and Cricket walking with us.  She was so happy to be outside enjoying the sunshine.  She had her happy smile on her face.

Between itching near her stitches  (they come out on Tuesday) and licking her nose - when she's stressed; she was best with us or cared for by my parents.   We enjoyed a dinner 'in' with them so we could be near Cricket and enjoy the Jazz game.  They were so kind to tend her while we went out with some friends that just also happened to be in St George this weekend!   It also happens that my friend's guide  had surgery as well so we were both without our guides!  It felt so good to laugh and enjoy the funny situations we found ourselves in and know that it really is all good.   

Steve and I are still listening to the book on CD: President Thomas S. Monson, To the Rescue.  After two trips to St. George we still have five CD's left!  We hope to go back soon so we can finish the book :) and enjoy more sunshine.  Hopefully by then, Cricket will let us go on a bike ride and be back to work.
