Miss you, Cricket

Cricket has not missed a day of my going to work in five years (unless my memory is forgetting something :). Every day that I have been ready to walk out the door, she is by my side ready and willing to do her part to keep me safe. I feel pretty fortunate as we celebrate five years together. Today, we left her at the vet to take care of her chipped tooth and to check out a growth on her right side.
I love you Cricket and will miss you dearly today.  Yes, I'll miss not only being able to easily go for a walk, but I'll also miss your sweet presence around the office all day.  I will hear many times throughout the day -- Where's Cricket?

See you soon and so very sorry that I couldn't feed you this morning.  I know that did not make you happy at all!

Love grandma (now that is silly but we do love her)

Poor Cricket, missing going to work with you AND missing her breakfast! What a double whammy. But I know Cricket is resilient (even when not at Resilient!), and she'll be even happier to get back to her normal routine tomorrow. Wishing good thoughts at the vet's.
