How often ...

This picture brings a smile remembering us girls shopping during class at Guide Dogs for the Blind.  A very important part of the training :).
I have a break in my schedule. There is much I could do at the office but after listening to my voice messages I must pause to celebrate all the kindness in my world. One was a message from one of my fellow students in gdb class almost five years ago. His message celebrated our now seasoned guides' journeys and remembering those first days. I am so grateful for this experience that has expanded my world and friendships.
A reminder to me to make that phone call when you think of someone.  How often I think .. oh I should call so and so.  He did and made my day.

I went to lunch with a sweet friend that is so organized she realized she would be gone for my birthday so I received a birthday and Christmas gift today. Fun!  I enjoy stretching and celebrating the birthday and this is a new stretch :).   This sweet friend makes a point that we do lunch each month.  Love her effort to stay in touch.  How often I think ... I should check in on so and so and go to lunch with them.  She does it and makes my day!

This is my first post from my iPad. I love my iPad in it's cute red case :). It did take me a bit to master the calendar. Thank you, thank you to my two clients that were double booked. They were kind and patient!   How often Steve is so kind and patient in this instance finding just the right cover and keypad for me ... thank you my dear.

There was the kind xray tech at the doctors office who was so nice to cricket as she took her away from the xray area.  Cricket knows the drill well.  This is our fifth xray on my left hand in the past two months.  She is out of the range but close enough to see me.  She watches by the tech while they take the pictures.  When she hears the click she knows we will be reunited.  He will check on the progress again in three weeks. This black brace may just become part of my wardrobe. I wonder if they also come in brown or camel?  Her kindness and care for Cricket while I was getting x-rayed was very sweet and I reflected on how often this occurs with people.  I hope I remembered to thank her.

A new picture from a dear friend hanging in my dog/laundry/office room. I keep thinking of it and warms my heart of her incredible kindness to me and my family.
Thank you dear friend.  I love you so very much and the quote:  Hold on to a true friend with both hands.  Nigerian Proverb.   I'm holding on!

How often do I slow down and thank those who are so very kind to me.  It is truly incredible.  Thank you for reading my ramblings!

I was Christmas shopping the other day, surrounded by frenzied people, and I noticed a woman who went out of her way to be kind to others. She offered a tissue to someone who sneezed, and when I knocked over a too-full table of folded pajama sets, she helped me pick them up. I think most people probably want to be kind, but they forget to be in the midst of rushing around. Thank you for the reminder to spread some extra kindness today!
