Let me explain ...

I am excited that this week I have Tuesday morning free - first appointment at 1 (that might change). So far, I plan to clean my front porch, dig in my flower beds, hopefully a yoga class, and need to catch up with one of my therapists about one of our projects together. In the meantime, a busy Monday which I love. This skirt has been in my closet for several years - for some reason I remember I wore it to my first day at a job 7 years ago! Side note:  my first day at this job (thankfully they had already decided they would hire me), I arrived with a broken foot and stitches above or below my eye - don't remember.  Story for another day.  Back to the skirt that I don't wear very often - not sure why, I like it and its from Ann Taylor Loft! I remembered that it had little lime green and pink roses. So I wore one of my favorite little sweaters ever from Banana Republic and
my very speical rose earrings from Natalie and walked with Steve and my puppy over to church.  Afterwards we took this picture.  It was dinner time, and I don't think Cricket is very amused that we had to take a picture before dinner.
A lovely close up of my smile and earrings.  I'll keep my smile, laughter and wrinkles.  This clip on  validation   is worth the view!
Have I mentioned how I love working with junior high girls?  That's not an easy age in life and I just feel a passion for them.  One recently said to me - So, I just figured out that you really can't see.  Guess, she'd been doing some testing and I passed on not being able to see (you know having her put her hand out and me totally missing the cue)!  I'm pulling the last minute things together for my girls teen group that we are starting tomorrow.  Girls, you are awesome!  We'll miss you Shannon but we know you are VERY busy these days!

Oh I almost forgot the Let me explain ...

When I am wearing this watch it is often a way I can explain my vision, or lack thereof to someone who really wants to know!  I look at this watch and I can't see all of it - that's a lot :), but I can see part and scan to get the gist of the time.  Outside this watch area is dark in my vision.

I can relate to that junior high girl! You're a tricky one, Becky! You just get around so well and SEEM to be able to see and know things, so it's a tough guess to know what you really do see and don't see.

That green is a great color for you!
