My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Happiness. Closet Orphan. Blindness

Random title for this post, I know. Just random thoughts to share.   Each morning I go out to water the flowers.  Each morning I search for the water spicket in the backyard to fill my watering pail for the back pots.  It recently occurred to me that this bouquet of happiness  (yellow flowers) is right by the spicket - such a lovely landmark to find.  Blindness is often simply orienting oneself to surroundings on a more conscious level.  With Natalie  here, we've been doing much reminiscing and visiting landmarks in her life.  Sweet.
Simple pleasures = having the family together.  So much fun.  (We miss Adam and Dahlia ... next time.)
My closet orphan for the 21-day challenge is these gold flip flops.  They are comfortable, cute, and from Ann Taylor -- how have I forgotten about them all summer?

"Happiness is different from pleasure. Happiness has something to do with struggling and enduring and accomplishing."  – George Sheehan.  A quote my brother sent me today.

Natalie and I got the giggles when she asked where my full-length mirror is ... mom how do you get ready?  oh yeah!  Mirrors are just not necessary.

Oh pretty! Sparkly sandals are worth their weight in gold. I'm in the market for a new pair myself.
