Beach Girl

The So Cal beach is probably not Cricket's favorite, but being with the family is Cricket's favorite so she went along with the fun! She enjoyed pool time with the girls while the boys toured the Midway. Yummy chocolate dipped bananas were the treat for people. Cold water and kibble for the Crickers.
Lunch outside is so much fun, especially when there is shade and a table leg to use as a pillow.
Sometimes it takes a little help from  your friends to get to your place on the beach.
The sand was too hot for princess paws so Steve saved the day and helped her get to her shady destination.

Water and a nice shady umberella made for a lovely afternoon!

Besides being in the shade, Cricket likes to drink lots of water when it is hot and be cooled off with water under her belly and on her paws.  Other tips?

I can imagine how cool it is for Cricket to spend time at the beach. :)

Oh poor Cricket! I bet that sand was hot on those paws! So glad you had a fun trip to San Diego! Sounds like you've got the travel from Utah to San Diego totally figured out. Same goes around here. :)

Employ a personal assistant to fan her! My dog would expect nothing less. Hee hee.

See seems perfectly comfy and content under her own personal yella umbrella! What a fun day. :)

When the pavement is hot, we use the dog booties. The dogs hate wearing them, but it saves their paws.

I pack ice cubes for my pups in the cooler some times it's just to hot to even drink or I bring a large thermos filled with ICE water. Spray bottle filled again with Ice water for tummy and paws some times I'll also dump water on the head to help cool down. Shade and towel boots for Oceana to walk on the sand.
