A Day of Gratitude

These two awesome people call me mom.  I call them amazing, her - sis, princess, special friend ...him - mostly brud.     They light up my world and nothing brings me more joy than to be together with them. I reflect on the title of mom with gratitude. I was young mom, 20 and 22, when they were born.  They've been teaching me so much for the past 26 plus years.  Thanks for your continued patience, Natalie & Kendall.   What I know for sure is I love them deeply and am inspired by them each day.    I want nothing more than their lives to be full of joy and to always have a knowledge that their mom loves and believes in them.
This is the last picture I have with my mom before they left for Nauvoo to serve a mission.  Yes, my dad is in there too - how do you cut out your dad from a photo?  No!  They are together in all they do.  It is beautiful.
No matter where I am, there's someone who cares and believes in  me.  There are angels on earth .. because my mom is one of them.  This quote from the mother's day card I sent to my mom describes her well.

Happy Mother's Day to Steve's mom, too.  I thank her for the wonderful mom she is to my husband.

We opened our door to this on our porch sent from our Princess.  My heart is full of gratitude.  My love extends from San Diego to Nauvoo and here this Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day.

Oh wow, what pretty flowers.
I too have learned much from my children over the years....watching them grow.
amazing really.

I thought of Matt a lot on mothers day. It was hard, but I also focused on the 4 children I have still around and blessing my life.
