Love Deeply

Wednesday evenings are a time of reminding me to love deeply. A group of much too young men and women meet who have all had a spouse die meet at our office. Last week we listened to music that touched their hearts and had meaning to them and their spouse. The song that they danced to on their wedding night, the song they laughed together with in the car, a favorite movie song, or that song that describes what it feels like now, were shared.

I have an amazing co-facilitator and friend for this group.

I give Steve an extra hug on this evening and am reminded each day is a gift. I agree with Winnie the Pooh's wish for Christopher Robin:

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.

Speaking of Winnie the Pooh, another favorite:

Promise me, you'll always remember: you're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem and smarter than you think. Christopher Robin to Pooh

Love those thoughts! It is true we never know how long our turn on earth will be and each day should be viewed as a blessing. Great wisdom!!

Becky, I tried to view your newest post but it didn't come up. There seems to be a glitch. Maybe you want to check on it.

That A.A. Milne was a smart person! I love that last saying, I had never heard it before. So sad about the Wednesday evening group, but how great that they can share their grief and healing with each other.

Yes, I tried to look at your new post, too. It sounds wonderful that you're a finalist. I can't wait to hear more about it!

I love your co-facilitator!!! : ) I'm so grateful that these wonderful people have you to get them through the hardest time of their lives. It sounds like the group is a big success and has helped many find ways to cope.
