Humour Helps

I received notice today that my recredentialing for an insurance panel that I am on as a provider had been approved. Interesting, the notification had travelled to two different incorrect addresses to arrive at our office. It was near 2 pm on a Friday afternoon, when I called to notify them and make sure they had our correct information. I didn't know if I would even get someone at that time of day, noticing that they were located in the EST - holiday weekend. I was pretty surprised when the lady on the other end was so happy and as she searched on her computer she sang various songs to me. Then, her classic comment: I really wish I could dazzle you and tell you that our company is competent and the paperwork has not been lost. I laughed as I realized she was handling all the frustrating calls she must get but just putting it out there and acknowledging how incompetent they seem to be. We laughed together and agreed that would not be an accurate statement at this point. I could blog about the various mistakes this company continues to make but that isn't necessary. She emailed me paperwork to again complete so they would have the accurate information. She reassured me she would take care of us. I've heard that before but couldn't help but smile with her friendliness and great outlook.

We do the best we can and leave the rest. . . in the end it won't matter!
