We Did It - Our Day 1

We completed 200 miles: Thursday (8 miles), Friday (100 miles) and Saturday (92 miles) and as my kids know from previous rides, I am excited to tell you all about it!
Yes, we wore matching jerseys each day and our matching t-shirts on the drive home today!

Our amazing group began on Wednesday, and we joined them on Thursday. Part of the ride I was really looking forward to was through Big Rock Candy Mountain.  When we were unable to leave until Thursday we were  afraid the timing was not going to work. How exciting when we began to drive on the road near this trail and there was our group cycling along the trail!  Our timing was perfect! My parents were behind us so we were able to pull off, they took Cricket and we jumped on the bike.
We sang "Big Rock Candy Mountain" and loved every minute.
It was a fun, short 8 mile ride that we loved and a happy little bonus that our timing worked out so well.
Steve was able to go on a river trip with the group while I settled in at our motel with our fabulous support  team - my parents and Cricket.
Steve and I spent the evening enjoying walking around the town of Junction. Everyone was so friendly. This is our cute little motel we stayed in before waking up early, early to begin the next day of our ride.

The scenery looks so lovely & I wish we could have joined you. However, it would have been too much for us. We're hikers not bikers. Ha!
