Resilient Women. Jocelyn. Beth.

Celebrating today the Americans with Disabilities Act. Twenty years old! Progress. I want to believe so. Still much work to be done? Yes.

A story like Jocelyn's shared by Beth in the Chicago Tribune is an example of two Resilient Women.

Read their story. What a testimony to the resilency of the human spirit. So grateful for the ADA law and know that it has made a big difference for so many, even though there are many changes that still need to be made.

Becky, thanks for linking to the story, and thanks for the compliments, too. It is so true that changes still need to be made to the ADA, and in my first rough draft for the Tribune I mentioned that. In the end, though, and for copyediting purposes, I decided to go with the positive, let readers know that yes, those of us with disabilities are still discriminated against, but the ADA has been ONE HUGE STEP in the right direction, and something to be celebrated. Again, thanks for helping get word out about this, Becky, much appreciated.
