As we completed the ride on Saturday, Steve and I said to each other -- that was a perfect ride! Beautiful weather, nice route, and we felt great. We were off the bike when a lady rode in near us and then tipped over with her bike landing right on our bike! She got up and fortunately was fine. We were hopeful that no damage had been done to our bike. Unfortunately, when we tried to ride yesterday as we shifted the gears, we realized our frame is bent and there is damage. We were going to ride with some friends and had to miss the ride. Hoping our tandem that we love can GET WELL VERY soon for our
ride next week.
As a result, we changed out of our biking clothes into walking clothes. We enjoyed a nice walk with Cricket. Cricket thought it was great that we returned from our attempted bike ride in one minute and to her for a walk.
I am loving hearing from those who have shared their
Stories of Resilience. Please share your journey - what has helped you bounce back, keep on going during those difficult times. I will begin to post them next week. Email your story - to

Just wanted to let you know that I'm still around and loving your blog! Still catching up with everything going on :)
Oh no, I hope your bike can be repaired in time for the next big ride.
I hope your tandem knows how to be RESILIENT!! Too bad it was damaged...
Sure hope your bike can be fixed so you can carry on with your special ride coming up!!
Oh no! You really ARE so resilient to just keep moving forward instead of getting mired in anger and "why me"!
I'm in love with that picture, awesome!
Sounds like some great times outdoors.
Resilience, Well Becky, I am still trying to find that actually.
It may be a LONG BIKE RIDE for me yet.
