My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Thoughts for Thursday

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired and success achieved.
--Helen Keller. (inspired by her life)

Thank you to Jenn for this fun quote by Dr. Seuss:
Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you. Dr. Suess.

And for some more thoughts on Defining Beautiful . Hope you have a Beautiful Day. I am currently having a few hours of cleaning before work. It becomes a time of reflection that generally goes -- begin to clean the bathroom, oh yea I need to email this person, stop and put a few things away, brush Cricket's teeth, check email - oh I'll write a blog post, then go back to cleaning the bathroom.

Just caught up on your blog. Interesting May 1st post--cannot believe you were asked to leave a store. That is crazy. We have had quite a few guide dogs in training around here and I am always quick to thank their trainers for their work. Thanks for the thoughts on gratitude-needed that today!
