A little More Travelogue

While we were in Kansas City, MO last week we were able to visit some very special sites.  The first one is:  Adam-ondi-Ahman. It is about an hour and a half away from Kansas City and it was very chilly on this day.  It is a very peaceful, beautiful place where we felt peace and serenity.
It was a little too chilly for us to walk down too many of the trails. (Oh, I think I've mentioned that it was chilly)

Another afternoon we were able to slip out of the conference a little early and visit  Liberty Jail  in Liberty, Missouri.  Here we were reminded of the beautiful words in the Doctrine and Covenants Section 121: 7 ... peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment ... D &C 122: 7: ... that all these things shall give thee experience and shall be for thy good. Visiting the Liberty Jail was an impactful experience that words on a blog can't express but super grateful for the experience. I left inspired by the example of such faith and courage.

We were also fortunate to visit the Visitor's Center in Inndepenence.
We also enjoyed stopping by President Truman's house in Independence.  Sadly, it was closed so Cricket stayed in the car and we were able to have a quick photo op.

We were able to pack a lot of learning, adventures, and relaxing on our little adventure to Kansas City!  Can't wait for the next one.

Oh I'd love to go back and visit all those places again. We went when I was little and I vaguely remember some of the trip and it was so awesome.
