Flying to Flowers

Cricket gets a bounce in her step when she is in an airport. Her experience is you go visit someone special in our lives! Our flight to San Diego went very smooth on Delta. We were upgraded to First Class (oh love that leg room). Only delay was that we chose to take a carry - on and Cricket's clear nyla bone set off the detector and they had to dig through our suitcase to see what was the liquid looking item and then run it back through the process. We had to sprint down to our gate. On the flight home we were a little tight on time. I had no idea how busy the airport would be at the crazy hour of a 6 AM flight. We walked through security as we always do with my walking through first then calling Cricket to come through. This way she sets off the detection but I don't which generally makes for a quick security check with them patting her down but not me. This time they insisted they needed to take me over to a designated area and screen me more thoroughly. I was trying to be patient knowing that I was really tight on time and also that they didn't need to do this. Whew, finally we made it through and made it on to the plane as people were boarding.
For the second year, a tradition now, we have loved the Carlsbad Flower Fields - 50 acres of amazing flowers. Walking around in the sunshine with the beautiful smell of flowers with Adam and Natalie was delightful.

Oh, love the flowers! What fun times with special people.

Who would've thought that a nylabone would set off security?! I guess you learn something every day...

Reminds me of our flowers fields here in Oregon. In the spring, we have the tulip fields, followed by the iris fields. Later in the summer, we have the dahlia fields.
The photos are great. Glad you had a fun time.

Flying these days can be such a PAIN. Take alot of the fun out of it I think.
