My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

My Outfit of the Day

Does anyone else love the fashion segment where they show an outfit and share the savings for each piece or tell where you can duplicate it for 1/4 of the price? I think its fun when you can pull together an outfit for a bargain and plus have pieces that you will wear a lot. My math tends to think in what I have saved rather than what I've spent! So, here's my outfit for the day that includes some items I will wear again and again:Black earrings (regularly 24.99 - I usually don't like to spend much for earrings because I lose them too often) -- $3.99 at Ann Taylor (you know the fun sales where they are marked down, then you taken an extra mark down and then you have a fabulous coupon and then you have a birthday discount on top of it!); Dog Scarf - gift to Pantera that I now wear (special and priceless); My long sleeve black shade that I wear almost daily when its cold - on sale for $9. I have worn it with everything this cold winter.
Tan Ann Taylor Coat
Regular price: $188. I bought it for $37.08. It is really fun for the sale price. Its a classic I will wear a lot.
Red Gloves: Regular price: $14.99 (AT sale)= $4.99. They are the fun ones that go up to your elbow and you scrunch down. Black Boots: Bass buy one pair, get two pair free. Promise! It was an awesome sale and I have loved all three pair. So, all three pair = $109. Skinny Jeans from Banana Republic - they were 25% off. I love them and have been wearing them again and again so I think I'm getting my money's worth.
One guide dog = priceless.
Hope you had a great 3-day weekend. Back to work on Tuesday that seems like a Monday.

Kristine Carlson in her book Don't Sweat the Small Stuff for Women states: "Close your eyes and contemplate what you are feeling. Try dressing yourself intuitively, and express yourself each day by making sure your choice coincides with your mood." I do that each morning (don't have to close my eyes, however)!

I agree that Cricket is priceless!!

Guide Dogs recently sent out a list of statistics in an e-Bark email. It said that the cost of a guide dog team exceeds $65,000. It's hard to beat that kind of discount!

I have been a little down recently and, believe it or not, this post made my day. I have wanted new levi's and didn't have the umph or money to go shopping. I think I will head out tomorrow to the Gateway. Thanks for being such an inspiration to me.

I have never been inside an Ann Taylor. But I have a consignment shop I can walk to. Mirage doesn't care for shopping and frequently has to step outside to relieve while I shop!
But I find treasures on the $2.00 rack. And yesterday a pair of new black slacks with a tiny pin stripe ( size 6) doe half price. $9.00
Anytime I want to lift my spirits I can drop a few bucks at the end of this nice walk with Mirage.
You are such a sharp dresser Becky!
