My Favorite Outfit

I love clothes: the shopping for them, the selection process, the wearing and mixing and matching, and giving them to others. Perhaps it goes back from a girl going shopping with mom, then friends, and my daughter. Its fun to throw in lunch, too. Thank heavens, Steve also loves to shop with and for me. The fun adventure of it all. Cricket has learned to tolerate shopping sometimes with a sigh in the dressing room. Laughing and having a good time with my daughter in a dressing room is always a fun experience. I always learn some new fashion dos or don'ts. How do you decide what you are going to wear for the day?I often start with one part of the outfit -- maybe I'm thinking of my friend, Debi, so I pull out a beautiful bracelet she gave me then I incorporate my outfit around the bracelet! Or I want to wear my brown boots so incorporate the rest of the outfit around that.
Right now, my all time favorite outfit that I wear inside our house is my most comfy sweats from USU (my school) - they have bleach spots on them but they are so warm and comfy. We keep searching for a replacement but I come back to them. I recently was telling a colleague I was doing some work from home and she asked -- are you in your bleached sweats? YES! Then, my favorite this year is my Born to Lead sweatshirt created by Mimi's daughter Ah, comfort. Today, I had a 3- hour gap in my schedule so I came home ... just enough time to throw on my comfy outfit for a while.

Contentment.

I love both of your outfits! Although I do have a special fondness for your Born to Lead sweatshirt!

I am the most boring dresser in the world. I usually wear jeans, sometimes corduroys, with solid colored cotton t-shirts, usually v-neck. If I'm feeling adventurous, I might wear a striped t-shirt. I've tried to break out of my rut, but like your bleach-stained sweatpants, I keep coming back to the same thing. Comfort is key!

I'm with Mimi - LOVE the Born to Lead sweatshirt!! I had mine on today as well. SO Comfy! Luckily, I work in the accounting office of a farm, so sweatshirt and jeans are my uniform. Throw in some Uggs to keep my feet toasty and I am a happy camper.

This evening, while I am lounging around the house, I am in flannel ghost PJ bottoms and an ancient GDB sweatshirt. It was given to me 17 years ago (YIKES! I'm getting old!) by the man who received my first puppy to graduate. It is worn thing and has several spots that are less whole than they used to be. I won't tell you that some of the less whole places were caused by puppies between Harvard (#3) and Poppy (#17). I love this sweatshirt.

Crickers is CLEARLY not amused in the picture in the dressing room! I love how you say she has learned to "tolerate" shopping.

Mimi and Becky, I have a new quest for us...my hair dresser keeps talking about her "colors"...she had a color analysis done where they look at the under tones of your skin and tell you what colors look best on you. She put a shirt on the other day while we were shopping...it matched perfectly to her color paleatte and it looked great on her! I am going to make an appointment soon. :)

Oh, how I wish I had even a smidgen of the fashion sense you have! Right now my favorite outfit is similar to your inside one. Sweats and a big T-shirt.

I love your Born to Lead sweatshirt too!

If I can get off the knee highs and shoes I am comfortable. How do people breath with socks on I often wonder. I should live in the South Seas so I could go barefoot all the time. When we go home I'll look for USU sweats WITHOUT bleach spots.

I've been getting into cooking (vegetarian) lately and actually looking at whats on the shelves of the grocery store instead of my usual racing in, grabbing my usuals and running out.

The other day I was going ever so slowly up and down every aisle in the grocery store when all of a sudden Tillman started gagging and coughing like he was going to throw up.

As I raced toward him to comfort him and figure out if he was really going to leave his lunch on the grocery store floor, I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

A common generality is that men hate shopping. I guess my guy does so much that when we had been in the store too long, he started gagging.

I now officially know his signal when he's had enough, 'cause not a week later, it happened again!

I need you! I haven't been farther than a neighborhood thrift shop in years. . .(it's too hard?)
But we are going to Rome in April and my brother gave me a 'lecture' about being stylish. . .I realy think this means black and white, Yikes. Can we shop together?

LOL! We're the same!

I love wearing sweatshirts when I'm at home.

It's funny how we never get old when dressing up. Hahaha! It's so much fun, especially if you're not the only one. =p
