Happy '39.4' Birthday to Me!
I like birthdays mostly for the fact of being able to connect with family and friends. It becomes a celebration that lasts for days! I've reflected on this birthday for quite some time. The last few months when it hit me that this was the big 45 that felt old. As a younger colleague told me yesterday -- yeah, that's really middle age. Thanks! (Picture below is of the ABC's of Ageing Gracefully - fine wisdom, I think).Last year I took the 'real age' test and was a little surprised (I felt so young!) that it calculated my age as 44. So this year I have worked on making some healthy lifestyle changes (taking vitamins, yoga/exercising more regularly, eating healthier) and was happy when I took the test and my real age was 39.4. I am excited for this next year in my life and have learned with age to appreciate each day and the joy it brings. Each day comes bearing its own gifts ... untie the ribbons. Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law, Eiko who I share this day with and we will celebrate together tonight.
