I am really trying to not greet my clients this winter with: Hi, I hate winter (or a version similar).
I am trying to see the positives of this beautiful white stuff that brings us water. Pluses: Steve is able to use his new snowblower A LOT this past week. He's pretty happy with his new machine. I am wearing boots every day. I love boots. In between storms, I'll wear my brown suede ones - they are fun. We can go tubing down our hill. There will be snow for Natalie and Adam when they come to visit next week. I have gloves in many colors including pink! Cricket plowed through the snowy walks to get to church today. She likes the slushy version better than the cold, icy kind (me too).
I won't go into the minuses of winter -- but my skin is SO dry including my cracked feet with their silver polish.
Steve and I had the chance to talk to the Primary children today at our church (of course, Cricket was an active participant). There was 30 + kids in two groups. I love the questions they ask. One of the leaders commented on the attentiveness of Cricket. She said she watches your every move. Just love this girl -- we laughed at this picture below. I'm squeezing her and she seems to be saying are we done with this picture! I also love this necklace I'm wearing. I've had it for quite a while and didn't wear it because it felt so heavy. When I tried it on briefly it felt like my whole head was leaning forward. Finally I wore it for a while and I love it. It feels very festive and so does the snow!
Happy Cozy Snow Day.

I hear ya on the dry skin. I'm not in as cold a climate as you, but I still get that awful winter skin. I have found that Aveeno products are amazing! I have an intense relief overnight lotion, and an intense relif daily moisturizer that I apply after showers. I had switched back to Vaseline Intensive care in summer, but it wasn't cutting it for winter. Have you tried Aveeno? I highly recommend. My feet are even soft, after applying it and putting on socks.
Your wardrobe sounds so incredibly fun!!
Ro - thanks for the tip. I'll try Aveeno.
