Braille is Beautiful

I love jewelery and one of my favorites pieces is my Abc Braille Bracelet . Braille is beautiful both as jewelery and more importantly as a tool in labeling and reading. At this point, I use it mainly in labeling and as a fun jewelery accessory. I admire those that can read it fluently and hope to continue to improve my skills.

I'm loving it too! We went to the UofU football game on Saturday and rode the train. I could actually read the braille on the signs! Thanks to the girls and their lessons, anyway. I saw some t-shirts that had Braille on them. I think I've figured out how to make them. I might be making them for the girls for Christmas. Love it!

Becky, thank you for joining as a friend on my At First Sight braille jewelry web blog; it's great to get to "know" you!
Your blog site is really fun to read through. (I only wish I were closer geographically; the Northwest is where I long to be! Sigh...)
I'm smiling thinking about you using your "...labeling cheat-sheet, the alphabet (aka, abc) bracelet. I'm also wincing about you bumping your head (yet again, I'm sure) in sympathy, as Ethan does that a lot. Especially now that he is 12 1/2 and going through so much growth, he doesn't know as exactly, where his body is in relation to other objects, like door frames!
Keep learning the braille - get a Perkins, that'll REALLY propel it! I can quickly and easily teach you alphabetic (i.e., un-contracted) braille and five every day contractions. You should phone some time! (Maybe right after another accidental head banging, so you can get some sympathy, too!)
Best ever to you and Cricket,

Wow, those are absolutely beautiful pieces! They strike me as the kind of thing that I might like to use as a tribute to each of the puppies that I raise! Or something that would be great to present as a present at a Guide Dogs for the Blind graduation. Whatever use I find for them, I'm very impressed!

What some beautiful additional ideas for braille, Lutzfam and Kate. Agree Toby, love my bracelet. Thank you, Leslie. I may just take you up on that offer!

I've never seen one of those bracelets yet Becky. I mostly use braille for labeling cds, and the size of dymo tape that I use isn't being sold from the RNIB in the UK anymore, and its driving me crazy trying to find it.
I enjoy reading braille books too even though audio is much more relaxing.
