Domestic Moment

I am preparing for our staff meeting and must admit I enjoy the fun part of organizing the food and looking forward to time with my great friends/colleagues at the office. It seemed an excuse to finally cook (I've been on break for most of the summer). I made cupcakes and frosting courtesy of Rachel Ray's recipe. LOVE the frosting! This is the first time I've used unsalted butter (is that what makes it so yummy?)
Here's the recipe: 1 lb unsalted butter, 3 lbs confectioner's sugar; 1/4 cup whole milk, 1 T vanilla extra. YUM! I could just eat the frosting!

(As you might be able to see in the background ... I'm fluctuating between Fuze and Diet Coke.) Wearing this apron just makes it funner to dance and cook in the kitchen! I love my cupboards - I am horrible about forgetting to shut them and then banging into them - so my sweet husband had them designed so that it is ALMOST impossible to bang your head on them ... due to their height and width.

Great apron! I do the same thing with cupboards, so much so that I think "why on earth don't I just take them off completely!" What a nice husband you have to have desgined them in a better manner for you!
