My SWEET friend, Connie, invited me to go with her for our annual mammograms . She scheduled them, picked me up and made something unfun much more fun! Now isn't that friendship! If you've reached 40, it is important to have it done annually. I remembered having a guide dog with me last time but couldn't remember if it was Cricket or Pantera. I realized today it was Pantera in 2006 (oops)... I will be making sure I put it on the annual to do list. Thanks, Connie for making it a fun outing. Cricket handled the new adventure in stride and I did as well. The nurse was very helpful and spent the whole testing asking me all about my guide dog - concerned that she be put in a little separate room which Cricket was fine about. We celebrated taking care of our health with Gelato - YUM!!

What a great cartoon! The last time I had a mammogram, I marvelled at how much easier, faster, and less painful it was than the previous one I'd had. The equipment had come such a long way in a short amount of time--so I encourage those procrastinators to schedule their appointments! Like Becky said, it's not that bad.
