I've decided I really enjoy low-tech, low-thinking games. This is pure luck with a little bit of risk - if you get a moose you can roll again to try for more moose! The Woods are the reigning champs both at Jackson and in our home. For what its worth, Steve and I do plan to practice before we play again. What's your favorite game? And, if anyone has a great solution for cleaning the grooves in a table - those comments are welcome as well!

Moose Spotting
We photographed my moment of victory! We played the Moose Spotting Game. Basically, the first one to 20 points wins. You win by rolling the dice and each moose equals a point (well if you want to get technical - 2 = 3, 3 = 5, 5 = ... so the more moose on a roll the better) This is the first time any of us had rolled four moose (what's the plural of moose?)

I love dice games! There is one I played a while back called "greed": so much fun! No advice for cleaning table groves, other than maybe a car detailing cleaner? Those are pretty small.
I've never heard of Moose Spotting before! Those dice are cute! I don't think your table grooves look bad, but maybe try some Q-tips? My favorite group game is Rummikub. Our younger daughter can beat the pants off all the rest of us. And I'm a Scrabble fan, too.
Sarah - yes, we love greed too! We play it every Christmas Eve. Great idea on the car detailing - i'll check it out.
Mimi - Great idea on the q-tips - will give that a try. My parents LOVE Scrabble, too. Rummikub - haven't played it forever, fun!
Try putting the tip of a butterknife over your wash cloth. It works for me. Sometimes I have to dig a bit but than I have kids in my house still. Been a while since I cleaned those grooves. Thanks for the reminder.:)SLY
Never head of the Moose Spotting game - that's great! I love the low intensity games too - allows for more socialization!
