My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Do you ever start walking somewhere ... realize you've forgotten something ... walk back - retrace your steps to remember and then go back. That was me today - poor Cricket could not figure out why we walked half way down the street, turned around to go back to the office, then turned around and started back. She let out a little sigh and I think somehow knew that her handler was a little forgetful and extra patience was involved! Ommmm, we are off to yoga so hopefully we will get our focus back - Cricket tells me to speak for myself - she's got her focus down just fine!

Arrr Beckey, I do this reversing thing all the time, and Coral absolutely hates it! She hasn't come to the understanding that her handler is often brain-challenged!
Nikki - funny - yes it must be frustrating and confusing to our guides - sometime Cricket sighs to let me know - that we are reversing! Good to hear from you, too.
