Worrying about what?

Last night I could not sleep ... I kept thinking of all these things I needed to do this morning. Now, I am up and can't remember what felt so overwhelming in the middle of the night! Ever experience that? Its sunny - I have the morning off - and completed most of my work checklist. I had considered getting the lawn mowed but after talking to Steve I promised him I would leave that chore for him tonight. Last week I made an attempt at mowing the lawn - hadn't for a few years and let's just say I don't feel that safe doing it anymore. I used to do it with my barefeet so I could feel the different texture of where it was longer. I thought that method would still work but realized last week as I was mowing - I am blinder (is that a word?)than a few years ago! When I heard a squeal, I was afraid I'd run over Missy (the pug)! You can laugh ... she is safe and wasn't even around but the combination of blindness and the noise of the lawn mower is a little dangerous and I find it hard to have any good orientation skills! I had my hair cut yesterday and Marina has this new product that she is using that really helped my super thick hair ... Moroccan Oil. Anyone else tried it?
Cricket and I went for a nice long walk ... felt so great and she has really become an experienced guide dog.

Your haircut looks great! I'm due for one soon, too. You are BRAVE to even think about cutting your lawn--a good task to leave for someone else, though. And yes, I often have worried thoughts at night and then, as the saying goes, things look much better in the morning! But I wake up with sore teeth because I tend to grind them when I worry in my sleep!

I agree with Cabana's mom...let someone else mow the lawn, please. One less thing for me to worry about at night. :)

Love your haircut!
That is cool how you used to mow the lawn, but agree about trying it again, I like your blog I would hate for it to not be updated anymore!!

I love your 'can do' attitude, but some times we need to leave certain jobs for others to do for us. You haircut is darling. Can't wait to see it in person. Yes, I hate when I can't turn my thoughts off & I'm left alone in the dark of the night. Things always look more bright in the morning.

Hi Becky~
I still mow, and also love that barefoot style. I know better. . .
Once I ran over my shoes/ chop chop!
Glad I wasn't wearing them. When you mow things have a way of jumping in front of you as you try to make straight lines in the grass.
Just let Steve do it :-)
I like trying hard things just to check in on my RP's progress.

Thanks for your love and comments ... letting go of something I love is not easy but a new love will find its way in ... planting flowers brings the same joy and a little safer.
