Cricket Puppy Stories

As Cricket and I are nearing our two year anniversary as a 'team', I checked in with her puppy raisers for some pictures and stories. How fun! I am so grateful for the incredible people that raised Cricket into such a fabulous (and cute) guide. She had two families who gave of their time and love - in particular Kim & Michelle.. How do you thank someone for that? Not sure ... but enjoy the adorable pictures and stories to follow of Cricket in her younger days. The first story is from her first family, Kim & Scott.

One of my favorite memories with Cricket was when we had our summer celebration at our group leaders' cabin. Heidi and Dallas invited all the puppies in training to come for a picnic and swimning in the river. Everyone told us, "Cricket is so young," she was about 12 weeks at the time. "Don't be surprised when she doesn't swim and is afraid of the river." Cricket walked right into the river with Scott and started swimming. We were so proud! She was always so brave.

Then, after drying off,
she had to cuddle with Scott to get warm. Finally, she had to take a nap in a little kennel because she was so cute no one could keep their hands off of her. That was a really fun day.

Good lord, was she ever cute. Still is, but in my mind, nothing cuter than a little labbie puppy....

Wow! Cricket is so brave! (& cute, of course!) Coral's raiser told me that she never went close to water, which kind of explains why she tries to jump when there is a big puddle at the curb on rainy days! What a princess guide I have!!!

She is so adorable I know why they choose labs for guides but they are so adorable it's hard for people to not want to just come up and love on especially Cricket she has such a special personality what a great companion for you

What cute puppy photos! Of course, even all grown up, Cricket is as 'cute as a bug'. Love that girl. Hugs to Cricket
