Who's Mentoring Who?

I am involved with a mentoring program. Adults who are blind are paired with teens who are blind and we serve as their mentors. For the past year we have been getting to know each other and today was our ice skating activity with about 20 others. I hadn't been ice skating in a long time. We had SO much fun. I asked Steve out on a date for soon to go ice skating. (Sorry Cricket ... I can't think of a way you could enjoy this outing.)
As a group we also had a wonderful discussion on interesting experiences we encounter as individuals who are blind. Also the discussion re: hybrid cars and its impact on people who are blind was discussed. I felt I gained so much from this day ... I wondered who was mentoring who.

Looks like fun! I've never been ice skating. It's funny....Rob and I were at the Gateway this afternoon and Ryan wanted to go on the "train" aka Trax, and so I suggested to Rob that we take the girls the the Gallivan Plaza to watch the ice skaters.....but he didn't go for it. Too bad, we may have seen you in action!
Luvs!!
