Help from my dog lover friends ...

This is cute little Missy girl. She is 13 1/2 years old. She has been a part of our family since Natalie was in 6th grade (she's now 23 years and a college grad) and Kendall was in 4th grade!Missy has a form of lupus but it still so cute and spunky. The past week she has had a serious 'gas' problem and can cause everyone in the room to make a quick exit (including Cricket). It is hard to be in the same room as her and she loves to cuddle under my feet when I am on the computer. We checked in with our vet and he told us it is probably her food and to feed her a diet of rice and chicken broth (okay, I've got to cook for Missy -- I don't even cook for Steve much!)and then switch to a different food. Any other suggestions from anyone?

If I thought it would help I'd make Missy some rice krispy squares. Dad suggested Beano. Dear Dear Little Dog!

I'm sure you don't want to resort to raw, so maybe you should switch her to a kibble for sensitive stomachs. Your vet should carry it or suggest where you could buy it. Also, a digestive enzyme might help. I will e-mail you later with more info.

On behalf of Missy, thanks to all who sent emails and suggestions for Missy - sounds like we will switch her to a more tlc formula for her tummy so we can once again enjoy our office!

I have been using The Honest Kitchen for my boys, and it has worked great with our 2 13 year old dachshunds and clearing up some of their issues. It is de-hydrated raw, but is easy to make...just add water!

Anyways...good luck!
