The instructions say fill with 1 1/4 cup water - is this just once? I am hoping to keep it alive and actually have pretty red amaryllis in a few weeks!

Amaryllis gives a bright spot on those deary rainy days in Oregon. I'll have to check our Costco & see if they have them.
